ONE SHOT – Motivation in Action

Psychologists refer to two types of motivation:

Extrinsic motivation is generated in response to external circumstances and its effect is usually short lived and has the side effect of requiring more and continuing extrinsic motivation to produce the same behaviour again and again. An example of an extrinsic motivation system is a performance reward scheme, where a desired performance is created as a result of providing motivation through a reward for achieving the desired performance.

Intrinsic motivation is generated from within and is much longer lasting and can often achieve greater results. An example of intrinsic motivation in action can be seen in the performance of people with an inner desire to achieve something...anything for which they are motivated.

The Peak Performance ONE SHOT programme focuses on techniques to help build intrinsic motivation.

Our ONE SHOT programme explains the relevance of classic motivational theories and focuses on the key motivation factor of building "self esteem".

From Abraham Mazlow to Jim Collins, all motivation studies show the significance of building "self esteem" as a tool for creating highly motivated indiduals.

We look at the Peak Performance Institute 12 point plan for buolding self esteem..

This one of a kind programme is only available to group sizes of 10 or more.

The exact content and delivery format of our blended learning solution will be determined only after prior client consultation.

The blended learning programme delivers its learning content via a series of daily e mails, utlising links to our secure "content server". Our content server is configured to deliver a series of customised "core" modules to each registered user. At the end of each module the user is asked to complete certain tasks or answer specific questions to ensure that the programme module is completed and understood. At certain points within the programme the users are brought together for specific learning activities.

Each activity has a duration of either 2hours, a half day or a full day. The learning activity is designed by our specialist partners, Corporate Adrenalin who use their experience, skill and knowledge to create the appropriate experiential learning activity to "blend" in with the Peak Performance modules.

After completion of each experiential activity, the learning outcomes together with the audio and video footage of the activity are used as part of the subsequent e-learning process.

The complete programme will take several weeks to complete and has been designed to accommodate all learning styles, reflective learning, serial learning, interactive learning and experiential high impact emotional learning.
