One of the things I was confused with at first with “Peak Performance” was I thought I would learn to be 100% happy if I encapsulated all the “Peak Performance” principles.
It isn’t quite like that. Peak Performance gave me the know how to change my thinking and make sure I don’t become unhappy or depressed. Sometimes you have to feel disappointment so that you can analyse it and make sure you don’t feel it again.
When I look at people like Richard Branson they’re not happy all the time, but they have a positive philosophy that enables them to deal with disappointment, deal with failure, and enables them to deal with areas they don’t like by doing something about it.
And so in the end, it’s as simple as that…if you are not happy about something…do something about it.”
